Commodores Update
Published 12:00 on 17 Dec 2020
Hello all
Apologies for waiting until Thursday to keep you posted of our position at MYC, but I had to wait until the government released what tier Marchwood, Southampton and surrounding areas were going to be in. We remain in tier 2, so this means that we can still work on our boats unless we live in a tier 3 area. Our neighboring city, Portsmouth and Gosport have moved into tier 3, so the worst senerio is right on our doorstep.
Martin, our Vice Commodore, lives in an area which has just been upgraded from tier 2 to tier 3, this means that he is now unable to travel to the club to work on his boat, which although he will abide by, is quite annoyed that have to remain at home decorating.
One other downside of remaining in tier 2, is that we are unable to reopen the bar as we can't provide main meals at the moment, but Mike Hawkins is looking into having some main meal events in the new year.
Keep safe
Regards Simon
