As you will have realised by now, the nation will be going into another lockdown at 0001hrs on Thursday morning. I am sorry to have to inform you that this means that we will have to close Marchwood Yacht Club again. Our decision was made last night at our general committee meeting, and the decision was made to comply with the current government legislation. The general committee will be meeting once again on a weekly basis as things seem to be changing day by day and I will keep you all updated as I did in the previous lockdown. Notices will be posted on the club gates informing the membership of the closure.
Your cooperation in abiding with the lockdown regulations will be much appreciated and hopefully we can do our bit to repel this hideous virus.
Our team of members will once again be taking their daily exercise in and around the club as security for the premises and our boats as they did so earlier in the year.
On a slightly happier note, I am reliably informed that all boats that were booked to come out of the water will be lifted out by Wednesday, well done to the boat park team for your huge effort in making this possible.
Wishing you all well
