Commodores Update 5th January

Hello all,

The general committee met again last night at 1930hrs and Boris Johnson announced at 2000hrs that England was once again going into another national lockdown, so this lockdown became the main topic of discussion at our meeting. It has been good to hear that members have observed the fact that MYC is closed and will probably be closed until at least mid February.

Our security team are doing a sterling job keeping an eye on the club and our boats. I am fortunate enough to read their short reports each day. They have reported that a few covers on boats had come loose and either they have secured the covers or the owners have been informed.

This virus is getting out of control again,so please take care, what ever you are doing. Keep to the government rules and remember social distancing, facial coverings and personal hygiene at all times.

A few members have commented that they did not receive their membership invoices that were emailed on 15th December. Even without the email you can still log on to the website to view and pay invoices, but if you need this sent to you please email the membership secretary.
