Commodore's Update - June 23
Published 23:09 on 23 Jun 2020
Hi all,
Finally some positive news this week. As I am writing this weeks update, the government has just announced that bars and restaurants will be able to open from July the 4th. We have discussed this at last night's general committee meeting and the bar manager and house have discussed the best way forward for us. It would appear that the 2m self distancing rules remain in place unless it is not possible to maintain 2m, then 1m can be sufficient but may involve the use of face coverings. It is quite possible that we will have a limited stock in the bar initially, please bear in mind that thousands of bars and restaurants will be ordering their supplies all at the same time. The bar will probably have limited opening times to begin with and further opening times will be introduced in the coming weeks.
Next week, we hope to give you more information re bar opening and procedures of how to use the bar. Hopefully,we can get back to some form of normality soon.
It would also appear that we may be able to stay on our boats from July the 4th, I am sure this will be good news for everyone Keep safe
Regards, Simon
