Winter Layup Procedure
Published 19:14 on 9 Sep 2020
Winter Lay Up approaches and your team of Drivers and Assistants will be lifting boats from 01 October onwards. We should all recognise their hard work to get boats launched this summer (launching continued right up to the end of August) and we know that many of you have thanked them personally for their efforts.
Every Lift Out will take longer due to Covid-19 restrictions. By working to assist the Lift Out crew you will speed up the process - this is the best way to show your appreciation.
What is expected of you...
Make sure your cradle/support is clearly marked with Boat Name and your Surname.
Lift Outs will be limited to 5 boats per session
Lift Out crew will comprise the Driver and 1 Assistant
You must provide 1 able bodied crew member to assist you
Be ready in plenty of time. The Driver will decide which order to lift the boats in
Follow the Driver's instructions at all times. If you unsure what to do just ask
Maintain 2 metre social distance from Lift Out Crew at all times
You will be required to assemble and prepare your cradle and to assist with its final positioning under your boat..
It is up to you to adjust acrows/props to ensure the boat sits properly on its support
Do everything you can to help achieve the task as quickly and efficiently as possible
Thank you for your co operation
