Duty Roster

The 'My Account - Duty Roster' page shows all club duties, with the names of volunteers, and a 'volunteer' button for any duties that you are eligible to volunteer for.
Use the Filter to limit this list according to the duties you are interested in.
If you would like to volunteer for a duty that does not show a 'Volunteer' button please contact the appropriate team according to the Event type (for emails, see Members - Committee/Admin contacts)

To volunteer for a duty, select the 'volunteer' button.
You will get an email to acknowledge your volunteer offer. There is no need to inform the organiser - they will also get an email and they will be able to see your offer.
Depending on the duty and how it has been defined, your offer may be immediately accepted or you may have to wait until the event organiser accepts or declines it.

To see the status of your volunteer offer, look on the 'My account - My Duties' page.

Remember that the duty volunteering process relies on a high level of commitment from the volunteers, once the offer has been made for a particular duty, to ensure the smooth running of the club. You cannot 'un-volunteer' yourself, although you can of course ask the event organiser to remove your volunteer offer. A better option might be to swap your duty with another volunteer so both duties remain filled.

The ability to swap your duty may or may not be available depending on how the organiser has set up the duties. If you can't see a 'swap' button please email the relevant admin person.

To request a Swap, look on the 'My account - My Duties' page.
If there are other postions available to swap you can select the 'Request a Swap' button, and pick the duties you would like to request to swap with.
You can only swap with duties that already have volunteers. An email will be sent to those volunteers asking them if they will agree to swap with you.

If you receive an email asking you to swap a duty, please respond promptly, as you would expect if you request a swap.
