Commodore's Update - July 28

Hello all

Following on from last week, we are still getting youths on the pontoons. To deal with this, we have had contact with the police for advice, which is ongoing. For the time being, the gates to the foreshore will be padlocked, entry via club key. Please ensure that you relock the gates once you have entered the foreshore area. With regard to the key pad gate to the pontoons,we must shield the key pad whilst entering the gate number. The youths are watching you whilst you enter the number on the key pad then memorising the number allowing themselves entry to the pontoons at their leisure.

Mid Summer Madness is due to happen this weekend but Mat Girling has,as yet, not received any notice of boats intending to participate. If you wish to take part please contact Mat so that he can organise the racing accordingly. The club will be erecting the marquee for this event and some assistance in putting up the marquee would be greatly appreciated on this Thursday at 1000hrs.

And finally,as stated last week, the bar will open this Friday at 8pm. Please be patient with the bar staff and follow the guidelines that Mike Hawkins will shortly publish to all members.
