Personal Service Handbook

Marchwood Yacht Club is run entirely by its members, guided by our club motto, 'if it needs doing, do it'. Every member is expected to contribute to the running of the club so that we can keep membership, mooring and boat park fees low.

Members who completed the 2026 Personal Service survey said they want clearer information, better communication, and more opportunities to participate.

This handbook describes all the volunteering that happens across MYC.

The Personal Service framework, on the last page, shows the range of volunteering that keeps the club running. Many members already contribute in ways that suit them - work that feels purposeful, social, and enjoyable.
